NZACRes Introduction to Clinical Research Workshop, Auckland, Saturday 29th February 2020

On behalf of NZACRes, Richard Stubbs convened a 1-day workshop entitled, “Introduction to Clinical Research”.

The workshop which was held in Auckland at the Naumi Airport Hotel was attended by 16 registrants, most of whom were investigators relatively new to clinical research. This had been the target audience, but a number of other individuals with alternative credentials and job titles also attended.

The meeting was supported by a number of excellent presenters who gave freely of their time for preparation and delivery. NZACRes and the registrants acknowledge each of them for their valued contributions.

The full program is available (Investigator workshop Feb-2020 Program).

The workshop proved both relaxing and enjoyable and was highly rated as having met or exceeded expectations by all attendees. The venue was excellent and provided quality morning and afternoon teas and lunch. There was further opportunity for informal interaction between attendees and presenters over drinks and nibbles at the close of day.

This was the second such introductory workshop aimed at new Investigators held by NZACRes. The first was held in Wellington in February 2018. It too had been judged a great success. Further such workshops will be held in the future.

Written on behalf of NZACRes by Richard Stubbs, Investigators Workshop Convenor
